Summary: When a startup approached us to develop a SaaS graphics editing product, we initially estimated a timeline of one year for completion. However, during our research phase, we discovered that utilizing an existing library would not only greatly shorten the development time to mere months, but also allow for the implementation of templating capabilities, enabling the startup to quickly expand into consumer markets such as greeting cards and postcards.”
Problem: Build a SaaS product that can do graphics designing such as fliers, pamphlets, brochures etc.
Details: A startup approach us to create a web + mobile app that can be used to create flyers, pamphlets, brochures and other marketing material. The main challenges here were to make it user friendly, make it flexible enough to add more products in future and keep development cost low.
This required a lot of web/mobile coding and testing, so effort estimate was around 1 year and expected cost was in six figures.
Once we got engaged, we did a lot of research to find a better way. Eventually we cracked the problem and made a beautiful application for the startup that not only was done in 3 months but also was much better functionally and blew their expectations out of the water. It enabled us to add features and target new verticals quickly as startup continued to evolve.
Result: The startup was eventually acquired leading to a success for everyone. This application not live anymore. We still have a few demo videos for you to enjoy.
